Monmouth County Democrats Nominate Mikie Sherrill for Governor in the 2025 County Convention.

WALL, NEW JERSEY – Mikie Sherrill (Montclair), Janine Bauer (Spring Lake Heights), Assemblywomen Dr. Margie Donlon (Ocean)  and Luanne Peterpaul, Esq (Long Branch), Vaibhav Gorige (Marlboro), and Assemblyman Avi Schnall (Lakewood) have received the Monmouth County Democratic nomination for New Jersey Governor and Legislative Districts 10. 11, 13, and 30 respectively. Over 700 delegates representing every community in Monmouth County were invited to participate today in one of the most open and transparent Democratic county conventions. The votes were tallied by a Democratic Commissioner of the Monmouth County Board of Elections. 

“Monmouth County has been and remains one of the most open and transparent conventions in the state of New Jersey” said Chairwoman Dyese Davis, “Thank you to our 700+ eligible delegates—for meeting with candidates, casting your ballots, and ensuring that the people of Monmouth County have a voice in this process.”

In the Gubernatorial race,  522 ballots were cast with Mikie Sherrill receiving 338 votes, Ras Baraka  receiving 96 votes, Sean Spiller receiving 30 votes, and others receiving 50 votes.
