Monmouth County Democratic Chairman
Vin Gopal was elected Monmouth County Democratic Chairman on June 12th, 2012 at the age of 27. He is New Jersey’s youngest Democratic County Chairman. Vin is a small business owner, owning and operating a retail store in Hazlet, a local marketing company and a chain of local community magazines. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce in September of 2000, serving a three year term where he served as Chairman of Chamber's Government Affairs Committee and he was elected to a three year term as President of the Hazlet Business Owners Association in January of 2010, serving until January of 2013 where he left the organization with five times the surplus amount from when he started. He is also a former Board of Trustees for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. Vin is a former volunteer EMT for the Freehold First Aid Squad and worked in high school and college as a Certified American Red Cross CPR & First Aid Instructor. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Penn State University and currently resides in Long Branch.
