The guest speaker at this month's Monmouth County Democratic Progressive Caucus will be Dr. Alan Robock. Dr. Robock is currently a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers. He is a lead author on the UN's IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), and was a member to the organization when it was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He advocates nuclear disarmament and met Fidel Castro during a lecture trip to Cuba to discuss the dangers of nuclear weapons. Dr. Robock has given lectures and presentations worldwide on nuclear winter, geoengineering volcanic eruptions, and global warming.
